Framework is excited to be offering supported accommodation in the county of Nottinghamshire for young people aged 16-21yrs, who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
We aim to move young people to independent living after a short stay at these services by supporting them to make positive choices and inspiring them to be the best that they can be.
To be responsible for Looked After Children, Care Leavers and 16- & 17-year-olds and other young adults who are referred into Young Persons Services. These young people have complex presenting needs which will include at least one (and often several) of the following:
Complex needs and behaviours including volatility & extreme risk-taking behaviour typically linked to sustained adverse childhood experiences; deprivation; neglect; parental substance misuse and mental ill health; physical and/or sexual abuse; witnessing or experiencing domestic abuse and violence; child sexual and criminal exploitation; substance misuse; mental ill health including self-harm, suicidal ideation, post-traumatic stress, brain injury and diagnosed/undiagnosed personality disorder; diagnosed and undiagnosed learning disability; criminal and anti-social behaviour; poor educational attainment; family breakdown; teenage parenthood; economic exploitation; unaccompanied asylum seeking and associated life experiences.
To create a positive, nurturing and trusted home environment for young people, always displaying unconditional positive regard, whilst maintaining boundaries with calm and consistent professional practice.
To work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals including social workers, personal advisors, housing providers, health professionals, IDVAs, drug and alcohol treatment workers, criminal justice practitioners (YOT, police and NCA) to deliver wraparound support intended to maximise the life chances of the young people entering the service. This includes reporting to, attending and acting upon agreed statutory plans at reviews, case conferences and independently-chaired strategy meetings.
